| Tasks and Responsibilities of Personnel Office |

The basic tasks and responsibilities of the Office are indicated in Article 29 of the Decree Law number 124 as follows:
Concerning the academic and administrative staff of Çankaya University;
- To carry out studies for workforce planning and personnel policy as well as making suggestions about the ways of improving the personnel system;
- To handle the matters pertaining to personnel along with the procedures of appointment and retirement;
- To arrange, carry out and supervise the pre-service and in-service training programs for administrative staff;
- To do similar tasks that can be assigned to the Office.

- To carry out studies for workforce planning and personnel policy as well as making suggestions about the ways of improving the personnel system;
- To arrange and carry out pre-service and in-service training programs for administrative staff;
- APPOINTMENT:
- To determine the salary range of Academic and Administrative Staff
- To keep the records of personnel information and send them to the Social Insurance Institute in time
- To carry out the correspondence procedures related to the appointment of Academic and Administrative Staff
- To follow and complete the precudures of the Academic Staff who will receive a promotion
- To keep the files of Academic and Administrative Staff and conduct the procedures relevant to the task
- CONTRACT:
- To draw up the contracts of Academic and Administrative Staff on a regular basis
- To complete the visa procedures of the academic staff who are foreign nationals and renew their contracts every year
- To carry out the procedures related to extending the residence permits of the academic staff who are foreign nationals
- LEAVES:
- To keep a record of the leaves of Academic and Administrative Staff such as annual, excuse and sick leaves
- To keep a record of Academic Staff's leaves in and out of the country
- To cash from Social Insurance Institute the non-employment allowance for the staff who are on sick leave, during the period of sickness, depositing it as a credit in the account of the Directorate of Budget and Accounting
- To conduct the procedures of Academic and Administrative Staff such as retirement and terminating employment
- HIGHER EDUCATION COUNCIL (YÖK):
- To draw the charts of data and send them to HEC on the basis of a schedule
- To do various kinds of correspondence
- STUDENT SELECTION AND PLACEMENT CENTER (ÖSYM):
- To inform SSPC every three months about the academic staff who have been newly appointed or have received a new academic title
- To fill out the personnel information forms of the academic staff and send them to SSPC, regularly updating the changes that occur in them
- To receive the application forms for the Foreign Language Exam for Civil Servants (KPDS) and University Foreign Language Exam (ÜDS) and send these forms to SSPC
- To follow the activities of Academic Councils
- To make sure that Confidential Employment Records are being appropriately kept and to ask the authorized staff to fill out the incomplete forms
- EMPLOYMENT OFFICE:
- To send the Tables of Staff Position on a monthly basis
- To post the Resignation Forms of the staff who quit their jobs
- To conduct the procedures of the academic staff who are paid on the basis of class hours (Article 31, items 40/a, 40/c), as well as asking for official permission from the Universities or Institutes on their behalf.
- To carry out the procedures involved in suspending military service when necessary
- To do the correspondence required for receiving official approval on behalf of the instructors who are assigned duties by the Directorate of Continued Education, Consultation, Research and Application (SEDAM)

- Conducting all the accrument procedures of personnel such as salaries, extra-course payments and travel allowances
- Preparing all official documents to be regularly submitted to government institutions such as the Ministry of Labor and the Social Insurance Institute
- Drawing up the medical examination request forms and health documents
